The Anti-TG ELISA kit is intended for quantitative determination of autoantibodies against thyroglobulin (TG) in human serum. Autoantibodies against thyroglobulin (Anti-TG) are mainly IgG and less frequently IgA and IgM. Anti-TG concentration in serum of healthy people may reach 65 U/mL. Anti-TG levels exceeding this limit are a sign of an autoimmune disorder that usually leads to thyroid gland dysfunction. Determination of Anti-TG in serum is useful in the diagnosis of autoimmune thyroid diseases (Hashimoto thyroiditis, idiopathyc myxoedema, Graves disease).
