OmniTaq 2 DNA polymerase is a mutant of Taq polymerase that provides strand-displacement and reverse transcriptase activity. It can be used as the sole enzyme in RT-PCR and RT-LAMP assays. In addition, this enzyme provides 2-3x faster PCR and inhibition-resistance. Please note that OmniTaq 2 is only weakly detected in TaqMan assays. If you wish to use OmniTaq2 in TaqMan assays, you will need to use more enzyme or order OmniTaq 2T instead.
