Pretreatment Solution K-1717 is recommended when assaying for dextran sulfate in plasma samples as well as in highly proteinaceous non-plasma samples. This solution blocks heterophilic non-specific binding between our coated plates and our detector enzyme conjugates. It should be used with all your plasma/high protein samples since it is not possible to predict which samples will cause a problem. We have seen benefits with assay of some high protein cell products.
