The formulations which include Oxoid Nutrient Broth No. 2 are primarily used in the Ames assay as specified by Maron & Ames, Mutat. Res. 113: 173, 1983 for culture of S. typhimurium and E. coli WP2. AMES PRODUCTS. MOLTOX® prepared media and media components are specifically formulated for use in bacterial mutagenicity assays.
