CD20 is a non-glycosylated phosphoprotein found on the surface of all B cells. It is involved in B cell activation, proliferation, and differentiation. Its expression is restricted to normal and neoplastic B cells. Together with CD79a, CD20 is one of the most important markers for identifying B cell neoplasms.
