Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (SARS) caused the outbreak at 2002-2004 with over 8,000 people infection and 774 deaths. The receptor-binding domain (RBD) subunit of the Spike (S) protein is to bind to its receptor on target cell surface (ACE2). A rapid and effective assay kit detecting the levels of anti-SARS Spike RBD in human serum can facilitate research on antibodies produced in response to SARS infection or vaccines.

This kit was tested to bind to monoclonal antibodies in IgM format (Cat. No. P80H48), see figures.

This kit is developed for serologic test for human IgM titer of Anti-SARS Spike RBD antibody in serum/plasma or purified human antibody (monoclonal & polyclonal) in vitro. It is for research use only. Antibodies of IgM and IgA class are a sign of an active infection (primary infection and reactivation) and disappear during convalescence. In some cases they can persist for several months.
