Brucella is a Gram-negative bacterium belonging to the α-proteobacteria division and is the cause of Brucellosis, one of the common zoonotic diseases. The early diagnosis of Brucellosis is difficult as the poor specific symptom in early stage of infection and a lack of easy detection method. A rapid and effective assay kit detecting the levels of anti-Brucella in bovine or sheep serum can facilitate research on antibodies produced in response to Brucella infection or vaccine candidates.

This kit was tested to bind to convalescent sheep sera (n = 4) with sensitivity of 100%, specificity of 75%.

This kit is developed for serologic test for bovine or sheep IgG titer of Anti-Brucella antibody in serum/plasma or purified bovine or sheep antibody (monoclonal & polyclonal) in vitro. It is for research use only.
