This pseudotyped virus uses lentiviral vectors to package Spike (S) protein of SARS-CoV-2 (GenBank: MN908947), which was designed by codon optimizing the full-length S sequence for mammalian expression. Infection of cells with this pseudotyped virus carrying luciferase reporter results in detectable luciferase activity. See our titration result showing the undiluted pseudovirus (green) generates signal 150-fold higher than uninfected control (cell alone as background in blue).
