ResistancePlus® GC(550) for Applied Biosystems 7500 Fast and 7500 Fast Dx Instruments

ResistancePlus® GC simultaneously detects the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae (GC) and the gyrA S91 (wild type) or gyrA S91F (mutant) markers that are associated with susceptibility or resistance to the fluoroquinolone antibiotic, ciprofloxacin.

The ResistancePlus® GC kit is a qualitative real-time PCR assay for the detection of Neisseria gonorrhoeae and the gyrA S91 wild-type and S91F mutant sequences as markers of susceptibility or resistance to ciprofloxacin.The ResistancePlus® GC kit can be used with the specimen types listed in the Instructions for Use (IFU).The ResistancePlus® GC kit is intended to be used in professional settings,such as hospitals, or reference or state laboratories. It is not intended for selftesting, at home or point of care use.

Targets: Single well: N. gonorrhoeae (Opa), N. gonorrhoeae (PorA), Ciprofloxacin resistance, Ciprofloxacin susceptibility, Internal control

Storage & stability: Expiry dates are stated on the labels. It is recommended that freeze/thaw cycles be limited to less than 15. Store protected from light at – 25°C to – 15°C.
