The DermatoPlex assay is a single-well real-time PCR multiplex for detection of the common fungi causing dermatophytosis: Trichophyton mentagrophytes complex, Trichophyton rubrum complex and a selection of Candida spp including C. albicans, C. orthopsilosis, and C. parapsilosis as well as Nacaseomyces glabrata (formerly C. glabrata) and Kluyveromyces marxianus (formerly C. tropicalis). The detection chemistry utilises PlexPCR® (PlexZyme® & PlexPrime®) technology.
