This antibody is obtained by immunizing mice with a recombinant coat protein of GFkLV. The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.

This antibody reacts with extracts of GFkV-infected plants in DAS-ELISA ( 1: 2,000 dilution) and Western blot (1: 2,000 dilution) using the coat recombinant protein). GFkLV belongs to the genus Maculavirus of the family Tymoviridae and its genome is composed by a single-stranded positive-sense RNA.GFkLV virions have a rounded contour and prominent surface structure with coat protein subunit (28 kDa) clusters in pentamers and hexamers. Grapevine fleck is a widespread graft-transmissible disease.
