Narishige's SN-2N has a heavy base with a low center of gravity to minimize vibrations. Used for cats, small dogs and monkeys, this instrument has a heavy base with a low center of gravity. To fix the zero point of head -- which is its basic axis -- in position, units for fixing three separate points are mounted on a U-frame.      The AP frame bar is 18.7mm square, and sufficiently long for the attachment of manipulators and various other accessories. The U-frame itself can be moved freely. Numerous screw holes are provided on the base frame to allow the attachment of different kinds of accessories or spinal cord fixing equipment.
