Mca-KKVAPYPME-Dap(Dnp)–NH2 (UbiQ-141) is a fluorogenic reagent for monitoring ATP dependant protease activity like in the 26S proteasome and ClpP protease. Because it is longer than standard tri/tetra peptide based assay reagents, UbiQ-141 is not processed by the 20S CP alone and activating factors are required. Key Characteristics: only processed by activated proteasomes exhibits a much more pronounced stimulation of proteasome activity than tetrapeptide based proteasome activity assay reagents processed by human and bacterial proteasomes
