This product consists of 3.5 mL of mounting medium consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, DABCO (anti-quenching agent), and glycerol in water. It is conveniently packaged in a plastic dropper vial and can be used to mount approx. 75 slide wells, using one drop per well. After mounting a slide with this medium, one may view the slide immediately and/or allow the medium to dry overnight at 25° C or 37° C to form a firmer, more durable preparation for long-term storage and repeated viewing. After drying, keep slides in the refrigerator or the freezer in a sealed, light-proof container for long-term storage.
