The process of developing stable cell lines typically involves introducing a constructed vector containing the target gene into host cells (such as CHO, HEK 293 cells) using methods like lipofection or lentiviral infection. Based on the resistance markers contained in the gene vector, corresponding drugs are used to screen for mixed positive clones. From these mixed positive clones, individual cells are isolated to grow positive monoclonal colonies, ultimately yielding stable transfected cell lines. An overexpression cell line is a type of genetically engineered cell line in which a specific gene of interest is introduced and expressed at abnormally high levels. This is achieved by inserting additional copies of the gene or using strong promoters to drive its expression.
