Lucerna, Inc. was founded by scientists from Cornell University and has extensive expertise in RNA biology, fluorescence imaging, aptamer development, high-throughput screening, and assay development. Based on its proprietary fluorescent RNA technology, Spinach™, the company provides innovative RNA-focused research reagents. Its well-known products include DFHBI fluorophores and a range of aptamer tags that support real-time visualization of RNA dynamics and localization in living cells. Lucerna is also recognized for its high-throughput-compatible drug screening platform, particularly for identifying compounds that target key RNA splicing events involved in cancer pathways. Lucerna’s product portfolio includes antibodies, fluorophores, assay kits, and custom fluorescent sensors.

●Antibodies
High-specificity monoclonal antibodies for the detection and immunoprecipitation of peptide remnants derived from ubiquitination.
●Fluorophores
Proprietary dyes designed to activate the fluorescence of Spinach-family RNA aptamers.
●Assay Kits
High-throughput-compatible assay kits with homogeneous workflows and stable fluorescent readouts.
●Sensors
Custom fluorescent sensors designed for highly specific and sensitive detection of medically relevant RNA targets. Splicing sensors consist of a readout module and a recognition module. The readout module contains the Spinach™ RNA aptamer, while the recognition module targets the RNA splice site of interest. The recognition module is composed of two RNA probes complementary to exon sequences flanking the target splice junction. Only when the target splice junction is present can the recognition module stabilize the folding of Spinach™ and induce fluorescence.
