Molecular weight (MW) range of 100KDa to 1.8MDa is aliquoted from lots that are EU Pharmacopoeia-certified and Japanese Pharmacopoeia-compliant monographs for NaHy in addition to our pharmaceutical specifications.

2）Corgel® BioHydrogel Products

Lifecore licensed the patented Corgel® BioHydrogel technology from the Cleveland Clinic. Based on di-hydroxyphenyl linkages of tyramine substituted sodium hyaluronate (NaHy), this biocompatible hyaluronan hydrogel meets ISO 10993 safety and toxicity standards.

Corgel® BioHydrogel has a wide range of physical properties depending on the tyramine substitution (TS) percentage and the tyramine substituted hyaluronan (TS-NaHy) concentration. Our hydrogels are formed from TS-NaHy solutions of 6.25 – 100 mg/mL and display a spectrum of physical properties that include those of a weak gel, a paste, or a fragile solid.

3）Methacrylated Sodium Hyaluronate

Methacrylated sodium hyaluronate is a chemically modified hyaluronan. The methacrylate functional group is added to the primary hydroxyl group via a reaction with methacrylic acid anhydride under aqueous conditions. The methacrylate group allows photo crosslinking via UV-induced polymerization for the creation of spatially controlled biological scaffolding and 3D bioprinting. Additional functionality includes the chemical conjugation with substances via thiol-ene crosslinking.

Scaffoldings created using methacrylated hyaluronic acid have a wide range of physical properties depending on the degree of substitution (DOS) percentage of the methacrylate functional group, the molecular weight of the hyaluronic acid, and the concentration of the methacrylated hyaluronic acid solution. Lifecore’s reaction control processes, techniques, and technologies allow us to create methacrylated hyaluronic acid with tailored and customizable DOS to fit your specific research and development needs.
